Blogmas can be quite
intimidating at first glance.
Posting 25 days
(or 31!)
in December,
one of the busiest
times of the year?
That definitely
sounds out of
the question!

However…
what if there were
resources available
to you, outlining
how to make
Blogmas
fun?
That’s what we’re here for!

Hello!! We’re so happy to have you! Welcome to Living the Blogging Life, the collaborative blog tips website where we aim to make blogging fun, doable, and awesome!
This post is part of The Week Before Blogmas, a week-long series where we’re sharing our collective Blogmas experiences and tips!
Beginning in December, we’re doing ‘A LTBL Christmas,’ which is our version of Blogmas on LTBL!
We’ll be posting for the first 25 days of December, finishing on Christmas. It’s gonna be amazing! ❤️💚
I’m Maggie! I’m part of the LTBL team, and I’m so excited to be part of this holiday event we’re hosting.
For my segment of The Week Before Blogmas, I’m sharing what it’s like for me to be doing Blogmas for the first time! I’ll be sharing an awesome doodle series on my blog in December for this event, and I’m really excited to do the full 25 days this year. Other years, I did a shorter series, or a Christmas post here or there, but it definitely wasn’t as organized and thorough as it will be this year. I can’t wait!! 😍
My 1st Time Doing Blogmas 🎄
So I was inspired to do Blogmas this year because my blog friends are doing it on their blogs! (and, of course, we’re hosting Blogmas on Living the Blogging Life, too!)
I love joining blog events and participating in a group effort. It’s especially fun when it makes a holiday or season that much more special!
I figured out some different things with how to host Blogmas on Maggie’s Doodles. Here are some questions I answered!
- How many posts do I want to write: 12, 25, or 31?
- Do I want to share Christmas and winter-themed content in December, or a variety of posts for Blogmas (a combination of Christmas posts and my usual content)?
- Do I have the time and inspiration to make this series possible?
- How can I break down Blogmas planning into attainable steps?
By narrowing down your choices, you’ll discover what will work out best for you this year! It took me about a week in November to really figure out what I wanted to do, and I’m so happy I found a way to do it in 2021. It wasn’t too much work, and I was able to finish everything before December got here! (I really love having series ready and scheduled before they have to go up!)
While you can write all of your Blogmas posts in December, I’d definitely recommend doing some planning in November, and having some Blogmas posts ready. There’s something about being in the midst of writing a post series, and it needs to be published that day, but stuff came up and now you’re rushing and it gets stressful 🤣 that’s not fun at all. So if you learn about scheduling posts, writing down your plans, and getting stuff ready before it needs to go up, Blogmas is much more fun! That’s what we’ll help you with on Living the Blogging Life this last week of November and in December, as well. Take all the inspiration you can from our blog hehe! We’re here to help ❤ definitely leave any questions you have in the comments or reach out to us on our contact page!
Here are some ways to get some of your Blogmas planning done in November!:
- make a list of prompts (come up with your own, visit other blogs, read prompt lists – and remember to give credit!)
- create blog drafts with inspiring titles
- make featured images and other Christmas-themed blog designs
- listen to Christmas music to get yourself in the mood 🎁 hehe
If you plan Blogmas enough and make it your own, you avoid the potential stress of taking on too much, and it ends up being a fun way to celebrate the holidays on your blog! 🎄

Thank you sooo much for reading! 😍 I hope you enjoy checking out all our content on LTBL this holiday season!
